"we really enjoyed staying at The Signalman's cottage B&B. The location was great with its semi bush setting so close to the city. The accommodation was compact, simple and clean and not fussy which was to our taste. The proprietors were very friendly and the breakfast provisions were more than adequate. All in all it was very good value for money and we would certainly plan to use it again."

"We spent a week at The Signalman's Cottage at the end of August and the room was very warm and comfortable. Our hosts were helpful but not intrusive and we felt very private. The accomodation is located with easy access to the city and a close convenience shop but with peaceful bushland surroundings and great views."

"Very comfortable accommodation with all that we required, ideal for couples. Easy transport by bus into Hobart as described and fantastic views and walks from the top of Mount Nelson. Restaurant at the Signal Station was a high standard and within 1 minutes walk from the accommodation."

"After a long trip from Dk and a very hectic week in Hong Kong, Signalman´s cottage was just what we needed to relax, enjoy the silence and yet being able to just drop in Hobart downtown for a walk after just 10 m drive. The owners were really friendly and helpful."

"Extremely pleasant.Friendly hosts,lovely garden.Mt Nelson is the pick of Hobart suburbs. Was delighted to find accommodation in such a beautiful spot..a favourite of many years.Lots of birds,even a wallaby or two! Spotlessly clean. Breakfast provisions wonderful,the yoghurt and real coffee were especially welcome. Will certainly go back next trip."
